Hero Arts January 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, today we are celebrating the release of the January 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts. What a beautiful kit, it is filled with beautiful flowers, a flower stand, wonderful sentiments and lots of amazing dies. It is perfect for Valentine's, spring cards, birthday cards and just because cards.

If you are following along in the hop, you should have arrived here from the amazing Jessica, but if you get lost along the way, I have the full list of participants below.

As you can see, I kept my card very clean and simple. I started off by taking a panel of white cardstock and the balloon image from the main stamp set. I stamped the balloon on to the panel with Intense Black Ink. I masked off as I went, so that I could create a cluster of balloons flying up in to the sky.

When I got to the third set of balloons, I decided to stamp the sentiment. I masked off the 'I' from the sentiment and just stamped the 'love you' portion. I made a quick mask for this and then carried on stamping the balloons. I removed the masks and then coloured the balloons with Copic Markers. I used my favourite colour combination for red - R89, R37, R29, R27, R24. The panel was added flat to an A2 white card base and then I added a few raindrops to finish.

In case you didn't see it, this is the card that I shared over on the Hero Arts Blog. I used the flowers and containers from the main stamp set. Masked these off and then stamped the Hearts & Flowers Bold Prints at the top of the panel and added some ink blending. The sentiment is from the You Are Loved Flourish Messages set. Both this set and the Bold Prints are add-ons this month. You can find out more details about the card here.
