*This is my second post of the day, please see below for my Clearly Besotted Teaser post*
Hello there, I am back with my last guest post for My Favorite Things this month for their Wednesday Sketch Challenge. This week we are on Sketch 387, I flipped the sketch to create a horizontal card. I also used a bit of artistic licence with the length of the three elements, as I really wanted to use these wonderful flamingos!
I started off by taking a panel of white cardstock and cutting the Stitched Triple Peek-a-Boo Window Die from it to create windows. I took the sentiment form the new Let's Flamingle stamp set and stamped this on to the panel below the windows, using black ink. I took a white A2 card base and masked off the edges of the card. I then stamped the new Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Background stamp on to it using more black ink and removed the masks. I love this background stamp!
I took three of the flamingos from the Let's Flamingle stamp set and stamped these on to white cardstock. I coloured them using Copic Markers (the colours I used are listed below the supplies section) and die cut them out using the coordinating Die-namics dies. The window panel was added to the card base with foam tape and then the flamingos added on top with a combination of tape runner and foam tape. To finish , I added a little Crystal Glaze to their beaks.

ReplyDeleteIt’s gorgeous Michelle, just love the layout with the peekaboo windows too. How do you colour without going over the black edges on their necks! i would be hopeless colouring those bits in 😂, Llisa xx
ReplyDeleteLovely flamingos!!
ReplyDeleteThey work so well with that pretty pink against the polka dots. They do make me giggle with their extremely long legs! xx
