Hello there, you may remember a couple of posts back, I said that I was looking for an alternative to Papertrey Ink Stampers Select white cardstock due to increasing shipping costs. Well here is what my desk looks like today ... yep, that is right, I have gone and ordered a ton of white cardstock to try out. I am in the process of testing them all (and I still have a few yet to arrive). I am testing them for the weight - if they can hold up to being used as a card base, how well they stamp on to and how well they work with Copic Markers.
I will let you know the results after the testing has been completed! What's On Your Workdesk today? to play along please visit Julia over at Stamping Ground for the info. Thanks for visiting me today.
I have found that the best card is from 'payperbox'. It is their 'super stamper' white and is 330gsm. The best part is that it is 10 sheets for a pound and it is delivered the following day!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle, I am also trying out lots of cardstock for copics, just bought Neenah 110lb and Copic xpress it to try. Joanna sheen elegaNce satin is also supposed to be very good for copics but not bought that one yet. I wish I had known you wanted Papertrey ink cardstock as I have just received an order from them. Hugs, Amanda x
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear the results Michelle, what a work you out in to finding the right supplies and I must have admit anything that I have night that you have used has always been fab.. Keep up the good work then I can spend some more pennies on recommended goodies lol
ReplyDeletelove what's on your work desk Michelle :) especially the marshmallow bazzil, (out of stock) but brilliant that you found that shop, they have loads of fabulous colours :) :) xx
ReplyDeleteWill be great to hear what you think. I picked up a few packs from a local craft shop not long ago but not had chance to try much yet. I don't use them for card bases (yet) as I have loads of card/envelope packs but am using promarkers more so will be useful to hear your results :) xx
ReplyDeleteHave you tried diamond White, 300gsm from The Papeterie, in Aberdeen. They do other thicknesses too.linda x
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have been busy Michelle. I will look forward to seeing the results.

ReplyDeleteI am really interested to see the outcome of this. I love the PTI cardstock too but the shipping to Australia is just too much now. I haven't found anything as bright white as the PTI cardstock so I am keen to know if you have.

Hi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteA little experiment going on, I see. I love the color of the markers you've chosen to use. I don't use copics but they sure are popular!
Happy WOYWW
