90th Birthday

Hi all, lovely weather for ducks hey?! I am sure it is natures way of saying we don't need a hosepipe ban! Anyway, I am here to share the card I have made for my nan for her 90th Birthday on Wednesday. I have made it following the sketch challenge at Less Is More (so glad to be back particpating in this fab challenge blog!). I have first taken a sheet of white card and run it through my printer to make the sentiment using Cordia New and Scriptina fonts and made it into a card base. I have then cut a square using a Nestabilities square die and gone round the edges with PTI Vintage Cream ink using an Inkessential Blending Tool. I have cut out two MFT Die-Namics Leafy Flourishes and done the same with these then added to the square. I have then taken a sheet from the MME Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks collection and cut out the MFT Die-Namics Royal Rose and asembled. I have rounded the edges slightly with an embossing tool and then added a pearl bead to the centre and added to the square panel. I have cut two little butterflies using the MS 3 in 1 Butterfly punch, inked them slightly and added to the panel. I have finished off with SU! mini pearls.

Supplies:

Kind of a different card from me today, I love the vintagey style but I am more of a clean kind of girl! This was my second attempt, I first inked up the edges with a tea dye ink and I thought it just looked dirty not vintage! lol. Thanks for visiting me today.

  20. I was sure the weather was nature's way of saying don't bother getting out of bed in the morning but I haven't had much support from the family on that one! Your card is absolutely stunning Michelle. I love that flower with the delicate die cut leaves and butterflies.
