Sunny Studio | Balloon Rides & Lovable Llamas

Hello there, I am delighted to be guest designing with Sunny Studio Stamps today. I have quite a few projects to share with you using Balloon Rides, Lovable Llama and Slimline Pennants Dies so please grab a drink and a snack and I hope you enjoy! 

My first projects use the Balloon Rides Stamp and Dies, plus the Slimline Pennants Dies. As the name suggests, these dies work perfectly for slimline cards but as you will see, you can use them on A2 sized cards as well :) 

I started off my card by die cutting the largest of the Sunny Studio Slimline Pennants Dies from white cardstock. Using blending brushes, I blended on Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. It was adhered to an A2 white card base with foam tape. I took the images from the Sunny Studio Balloon Rides Stamp Set and stamped them on to white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

They were coloured with Copic Markers and die cut out using the Sunny Studio Balloon Rides Dies. The clouds were added to the card with tape runner and the hot air balloon with foam tape. The bunny was then added on top inside the hot air balloon. The sentiment was stamped on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder, heat set and cut it in to a strip. It was adhered to the card with thin foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Clear Droplets. 

As I was making the card, I stamped a few extra images as I wasn't sure what I was going to use. I didn't want them going to waste, so I thought I would create a little tag with them. I die cut the Sunny Studio Build A Tag 1 Die from white cardstock and blended on the same Distress Oxide Inks. The extra images were added on top with tape runner. 

I then stamped the little bear and mortar board from the Balloon Rides set and die cut them out as well. The sentiment was stamped, heat embossed and cut out and added to the tag with foam tape. I then popped the little bear behind so that it looks like he is popping up from behind it. To finish off, I added twine through the top of the tag. 

My second card and tag use the Lovable Llama Stamp Set, which is a smaller stamp set but does pack a big punch with that adorable llama! I started off by die cutting the second largest die from the Sunny Studio Slimline Pennants Die Set from white cardstock. Using blending brushes, I blended on Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Inks. 

I then ran the panel through my die cutting machine using the Sunny Studio Sunburst Embossing Folder. I took the llama, presents and party hat from the Sunny Studio Lovable Llama Stamp Set and stamped them on to white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. They were coloured with Copic Markers and die cut out using the Sunny Studio Lovable Llama Die Set. 

I took the sentiment from the Sunny Studio Magical Mermaids Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with foam tape. The presents were adhered flat with tape runner and the llama popped up with thin foam tape. 

I thought that I would create a tag with this little guy too. I die cut another Sunny Studio Build A Tag 1 Die from white cardstock and blended on the same Distress Oxide colours as on the card. I then ran it through my die cutting machine with the Sunny Studio Sunburst Embossing Folder again. 

I stamped, coloured and die cut another llama and party hat and then also stamped, coloured and die cut the bunting from the Sunny Studio Balloon Rides set. The bunting was added to the tag with tape runner and the llama added on top with foam tape. To finish off, I added twine through the top of the tag.

Spellbinders | March 2021 Small Die of the Month Club

Hello there, today I have a card to share with you using the Spellbinders March 2021 Small Die of the Month Club, plus the Clear Stamp of the Month Club. The Spring Flowers Card Creator (dies) are made to create a frame on a card, the corners of the pieces fit in to the corners of the card panel and then there is connecting pieces to go in-between. I wanted to do something a little different, so I have added the corner pieces in to the middle of the card instead.

I started off by die cutting the frame elements from the Spellbinders March 2021 Small Die of the Month Club Kit from white cardstock. I then cut the flowers from pink, yellow and purple cardstock. The white pieces were adhered on to a 4.5" x 4.5" white card base with FSJ Craft Glue. I then added the flowers on top. 

I took the one of the bunnies from the Spellbinders March 2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit and stamped it on to white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I coloured him using Copic Markers (E59, E57, E55, E53, R00) and fussy cut him out with scissors. He was added to the bottom left hand corner of the card with FSJ Foam Squares. 

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped on to black cardstock with FSJ Clear Pigment Ink and FSJ White Embossing Powder applied. I heat set it and then die cut it out using a sentiment strip die (from the Spellbinders Holiday Sentiments Series 2 Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set). It was added to the card with more foam squares. To finish off, I added jewels to the centres of the flowers.

Altenew | Storybook Fantasy Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today to celebrate the release of the new Storybook Fantasy Collection. This is such a wonderful release that includes lots of beautiful florals and fairytale images. I have lots to share with you today, so I hope you will grab a coffee and join me as I take a look at some of the collection. This post is part of a fun blog hop, more details on that below. 

My first projects use the new Book Engravings Stamp Set and Dies, plus the wonderful new Whimsical Herringbone set that I have used for the backgrounds. 

For my card, I started off by stamping the flowers and leaves from the Altenew Book Engravings Stamp Set on to white cardstock. I used black for the outlines and then Altenew Glacier Caves Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cubes for the layers. For the leaves I used Altenew Green Fields Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cubes. The centres were stamped using Altenew Fall Harvest Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cubes. There is a colouring stencil available also that works with the set, so that you can ink blend the white areas. I quite liked them though! They were then cut out using the Altenew Book Engravings Die Set. 

I took an A2 white card base and masked off the edges of the front panel. I then stamped the background stamp from the Altenew Whimsical Herringbone Stamp Set on top. I tried it first with a brown/grey ink but didn't like it. So I stamped it again with the lightest shade in the Glacier Caves set. I think there was still a bit of residual ink on the stamp from the first stamp, so the colour is a little different, but I liked it! 

The leaves were added to the card with Altenew 2 in 1 Precision Glue Pen and the flowers with foam tape. I took the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder, heat set and cut it in to a strip. It was added to the card with foam tape and glue. To finish off, I added a few Sparkling Clear Sequins. 

To accompany the card, I used the Altenew One Card Stamp Set (which is a mini set) and stamped half of the sentiment on to the front of the envelope. 

And the other half on the back flap. Something a little fun to add to envelopes but can be used on cards and tags too. 

I have an obsession with tags again at the moment so I couldn't resist creating a coordinating tag with the same images as the card. The Altenew Terrific Tag Die was cut from white cardstock and the  background from the Altenew Whimsical Herringbone Stamp Set was stamped on top with the same ink as the card. 

The leaves were adhered with glue and the flowers with foam tape. The sentiment from the Altenew Book Engravings Stamp Set was stamped on to black cardstock and heat embossed. It was cut in to a strip and added to the tag with thin foam tape. To finish off, I added a few sequins and then twine through the top of the tag. 

Next up is the beautiful new Fairy Tale Florals stamp and dies. This is such a beautiful set that can be used with the etching layers to create the colour, can be coloured with a variety of mediums or can be used with the coordinating colouring stencil to add the colour with ink blending. 

For my card, I started off by stamping the main image from the Altenew Fairy Tale Florals Stamp Set on to white cardstock with black ink. I then stamped the insides of the flowers using Aqualicious ink from the Altenew Sweet Dreams Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cube Set. The leaves were stamped with Forest Glades ink from the Altenew Green Fields Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cube Set. 

The flowers were die cut out using the Altenew Fairy Tale Florals Die Set. I took an A2 white card base and blended Aqualicious Ink on to it using an Altenew Ink Blending Tool, focusing most of the colour in the top left. I stamped the sentiment from the set in the bottom right with black ink. 

The flowers were adhered to the card with foam tape (cutting off the excess image that went over the edge of the card). To finish off, I added Sparkling Clear Sequins. 

I couldn't resist creating another tag with this beautiful set! To start with, I stamped the Altenew Fairy Tale Florals Set on to white cardstock with black ink. I then stamped the additional layers with grey ink. I took the largest of the straight edged tags from the Altenew Terrific Tags Die Set and die cut the image out. I then die cut it again using the Altenew Fairy Tale Florals Die Set to create the panel to go on the tag. 

I took a panel of white cardstock and the new Altenew Cool Summer Night Slim Washi Tape Set and placed the different washi tapes on to the panel alternating the colours. I did not use the lightest colour in the set, just the three darkest. I then die cut this panel using the same tag die. The floral panel was added on top with tape runner and the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips Stamp Set was stamped, heat embossed and cut out and added with foam tape. To finish off, I added twine through the top of the tag.

Hero Arts March 2021 My Monthly Hero Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

I took a panel of white cardstock and masked off the sides of the panel with Post-It Tape. I then took Hero Arts Thistle Reactive Ink and using a blending brush, lightly blended the ink inside where I had masked off. I also added a little Hero Arts Purple Galaxy Reactive Ink for some added depth. I stamped the sentiment from the set on to the panel with more Intens-ified Black Ink and then adhered it on to an A2 white card base with tape runner. The images were added on top with foam tape.

VIDEO | MFT Spotlight Ink Blending

Hello there, I am over on the My Favorite Things YouTube Channel today sharing a card using the beautiful Wild Poppies Stamp Set. This is such a beautiful set that can be used in lots of different ways but I wanted to do something a little different today and create a card with spotlight ink blending. 

I have made cards using spotlight colouring before, in fact, this card is a CASE of one of my own cards using that technique but I wanted to try and recreate it using ink blending. I started off by stamping the large image from the MFT Wild Poppies Stamp Set on to a panel of white cardstock with MFT Extreme Black Ink. I could have stamped it directly on the card base but I am never sure what I want to do next, so tend to work on panels and then adhere them to the card base. 

I then stamped the same image on to another panel of cardstock. On to this panel, I blended Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire using blending brushes. I took the MFT Stitched Circle Stax Die-namics and die cut three circles from the panel. I also die cut a further two circles of each size from white cardstock. 

The circle pieces were adhered one on top of another with the ink blended one at the top. The main panel was adhered flat to an A2 white card base with tape runner and then the circle pieces added on top with MFT On Point Precision Glue, lining them up with the image on the panel. I then took the sentiment from the set, stamped it on to MFT Black Licorice Cardstock with Versamark Ink, applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip using an MFT Skinny Strips Die-namics and adhered to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Iridescent Crystals.

Altenew | Craft-A-Flower Antique Rose Layering Die Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today to celebrate the release of the new Craft-A-Flower Antique Rose Layering Die Set. What a stunning set! This rose is absolutely beautiful! For my card, I started off by die cutting the Altenew Craft-A-Flower Antique Rose Layering Die Set from Altenew Cherry Blossom Gradient Cardstock for the flower itself and Altenew Green Meadows Gradient Cardstock for the leaves. The layers were adhered together using Altenew 2 in 1 Precision Glue Pen. 

I took a sheet of Altenew Vellum Translucent Paper and die cut it using a tag from the Altenew Terrific Tags Die Set. The Antique Rose was then adhered on top with tape runner. I added more tape runner on to the back of the tag and added it to the card. For the card, I took an A2 white card base and scored lines on to the front using the Altenew Crafter's Essential Bone Folder and a score board (I apologise that they are not very noticeable in the photos but in real life, they do show up nicely). 

I took the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Versamrk Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder, set heat and cut in to a strip. It was added to the card with thin foam tape. To finish off, I added a loose bow tied using Altenew Metallic Thread to the top of the tag.

Altenew | Build-A-Flower Semi-Double Chrysanthemum Release Blog Hop

The images were cut out using the coordinating dies and set aside while I worked on my background. I took an A2 white card base and masked off the sides of the front panel. Using Altenew Ink Blending Tool, I blended on the lightest shades of the pink and yellow inks from the sets I used for the stamping. The leaves were adhered on top with liquid glue and the flowers added on top with foam tape. 

I took the thanks sentiment from the Altenew Simple Greetings Die Set and cut it three times from black cardstock. They were adhered one on top of another and then added to the card. To finish off, I added a few Iridescent Jewels.
