I enjoy your haul videos. I don't have the SU markers, but we use them at stamp class for selective coloring on some stamps (like a flower that needs green for the stem/leaves and the flower top that needs a color). And we use them with the colorless blender pens, I really think that takes good practice. I think you will really like SU markers for water color by scribbling them onto a clean acrylic block and pick up the color there with your aqua painter. I love the reinkers for my water color and I purchased lots of them before I ever owned a stamp pad LOL. I just felt like I was getting more mileage for my $. I use them in my Tim Holtz artist tray with lid and they live forever. I just dilute them with a water dropper to the consistancy I want. And rewet them when I need them. But now that I've been going to quite a few years, I've collected many pads. It's all the same ink for the water based dye, whether in the pad, the marker or the reinker. So if you've done water color by pressing the pads while they are closed, open them and pick up color in the lid with your aqua painter, it's all a similar result. I would like to have the large set of markers, but just haven't spent the money. I'm such a stamp and die-0-holic. LOL I would love the copics too, but again the $ stops me. I have some arthritis from carpal tunnel surgery and other spinal injury/surgery, so my hands don't necessarily like to hold a slim writing utensil. You'll think I'm funny, but I purchased the Crayola washable markers at Wal-mart to see if I would like coloring with a marker. Because they are washable, I can use them for water color and enjoy that. The aqua painter is easier to hold due to the large barrel and it's much more forgiving than the pressure for coloring with markers. I do it sometimes for a different effect. Aqua painter is the easiest for me. How's that for a novel of my thoughts.
