Simon Says Stamp | Warm Hugs

Hello there, today I have a card to share with you using the new Simon Says Stamp All Seasons Trees set which is part of the new Love You Too release, which is out today. The set features a few different sized trees that can be used alone (like I have) to create silhouettes or there is a second layer that can be added on top of the two smaller trees to create either leaves or blossom.

I started off my card by taking a panel of white cardstock and placing the MFT Rectangle Extraordinaire Stencil on top, holding in place with memo tape. I then took the MFT Drifts & Hills Stencil to create some interest for the ink blending. I placed it on top, securing with more memo tape, ink blended above it and then moved it down as I went down the panel.

I used Tim Holtz Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold, Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed Inks. The masks were then all removed and the largest of the trees from the Simon Says Stamp All Seasons Trees Stamp Set was stamped on top using Nocturne Versafine Clair Ink. The panel was then added on to an A2 white card base with tape runner.

I took the sentiment from the set and stamped it on to Simon Says Stamp Black Cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied WOW Bright White Superfine Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to strip using the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Labels DiesIt was then added to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Studio Katia Iridescent Bubbles with Multi Medium Matte glue.

  1. What a beautiful card Michelle, the background creates so much interest behind the silhouetted tree. And I love the colours you chose, such a pretty mix and an all over gorgeous effect with the drifts xx
