Create A Smile | Sending Sunshine Kit

Hello there, today I am taking part in the Create A Smile Sending Sunshine Kit Video Hop. If you haven't been following us on Facebook, the Sending Sunshine Kit is filled with yummy goodies (I show a close up look in my video).

I have two cards to share with you today, using products from the kit. If you are following along with the hop, you should have arrived here from the amazing Vicky. For my first card today, I am using the super cute lobster from the mini stamp set. I am a big Friends fan and early on in the series, Phoebe tells Ross that Rachel is his lobster. She explains that Lobsters mate for life and you can see them walking around their tanks holding claws! :) This was my inspiration for the card.

I first took the lobster image, stamped it in black and coloured with Copic markers. I then fussy cut him out. I did the same with the second lobster but to get her to face the opposite direction I did some mirror stamping (I show you how in the video). These were added to a panel of cardstock which was cut using a SSS Stitched Square die. The panel was adhered to a 4.25"x4.25" card base which has a sheet of paper on, also from the kit.

I finished off by adding some die cut hearts (cut with the SSS Mini Hearts dies using PTI Melon Berry cardstock) and some enamel stickers, also from the kit.

COPIC MARKERS: R20, R21, R30, R32, R35.

For my next card I wanted to make a more summery card, since the kit is all about sending sunshine. I first took a sheet of the paper from the kit (yellow woodgrain) and cut a circle from this, using a SSS Stitched Circle die. I then took strips of more papers in the kit and cut ribbon ends in them. I stamped the 'sending sunshine' sentiment on to the yellow one with black ink.

These strips were adhered to the circle and then the whole thing added to a white A2 card base. I then took the ice-cream chipboard piece from the kit and added this to the left side (with Multi-Matte Medium). I finished off by adding a few Enamel Stickers, also from the kit.

I have to say, I love this kit! It will be available to purchase from the Create A Smile Shop (they ship worldwide) from 7am (BST) tomorrow morning. That is 8am CET and 2am EST. For a chance to win the kit, please pop over to the Create A Smile Blog, where you will also find more details about the kit and also links to everyone participating in the hop. Your next stop in the hop is the super talented Sandy Allnock. Thank you so much for visiting me today, I hope you have fun on the hop! :)
