Christmas Gift Card Holder

Hello there, today I have a gift card holder to share with you. I couldn't show you before now as it is for my sister in law and they come round today. Although she doesn't read my blog (I don't think!), she does follow me on Instagram and Facebook and I didn't want her to see it before she got it! I made the actual folder portion using SSS Lavender cardstock and my score board.

For the decoration, I took a Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Rectangle and cut this twice from white cardstock. The first piece was then cut twice using the ME Landscape Border Die (I cut it upside down so the stitching line wasn't cut). With the other piece I blended over TH Distress Inks in Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord, Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry. I then added a layer of snow using the SSS Falling Snow Stencil and white ink for a subtle effect.

I added the snowbanks to the bottom and the stamped the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Many Mini messages set above. I then stamped the deer from the ME Winter Wonderland stamp set using MFT Grout Gray ink and coloured with Copic Markers (I used the W's). These were cut using the matching dies and added to the panel with foam tape and a layer of clear WOS added.

For the closure I cut two small circles of cardstock and added a brad to the centre of each one. These were adhered to the holder with tape. Before adhering the top one I added the thread through for the closure. This means that the holder can be opened and closed by looping the thread around the brads. For the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Be Merry set using SSS lavender ink.
