When A Tiger Becomes A Cat

Hello there, today I have a card to share using the Mama Elephant Luna Animals stamp set. A cat is not part of the Chinese Zodiac but I thought the tiger could be made in to one, so that is what I did! :)

I started off by taking a panel of white cardstock and cutting this using the ME rectangle Femme Frame die. I then took the hat from the set and stamped this on to the panel first. This was then masked off with masking paper. The cat (or tiger!) was then stamped on top. When taking off the masking paper, it looks like the cat is wearing a part hat! The images were then coloured using Copic Markers.

The sentiment, from the ME Woodland Gifts stamp set, was stamped below the image. The panel was then adhered to an A2 white card base that I have added a piece of patterned paper to, using foam sheet. To finish off, I added white dots to the party hat with a gel pen, and Glossy Accents to the cat's nose.

COPIC MARKERS: Cat: C8, C6, C5. Hat: BG49, BG13, BG11. Ground: W5, W3, W1. Shadow: B00, B000, B0000.

I think he/she looks like a black stripy cat now :) I can't wait to have a play using the other animals in this set. Thanks so much for visiting me today. Hope you have a great day!

  13. I love it! What a great take on the Chinese Zodiac, and a any to make us remeber to use stamps we have instead of always thinking we must have another one! Your Copic coloring is always awesome. I wish we lived closer and I could come learn from you.

    Hugs,
    Maureen
