VIDEO | Welcome Little One

Hello there, today I am back with another card and video for Create A Smile. I am using the super narwhals from the Underwater Love set to create a new baby card.

For my card, I started off by stamping the narwhals using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to some white cardstock. These were coloured using Copic Markers and then fussy cut, using scissors, leaving  a small white border around them.

For the background piece/card panel, I wanted it to look like the narwhals were in the sea but I didn't want a complete background. For this, I decided to use Betsy Veldman's technique of ink smooching with some plastic sheet. I took an Avery Elle stamp storage pocket and added Distress Ink on to it (I used three colours in three stages - Broken China, Peacock Fathers and Chipped Sapphire), the ink was then sprayed with water and smooshed (there is no other word for it!) on to the cardstock panel.

Once dried, the sentiment, from the same set, was stamped with black ink on to the panel. I then added this to an A2 card base with foam sheet. The narwhals were added on top with clear foam tape and then to finish off, I added a little Pico Embellisher to their tusks.
