Thank You

Hello there, good afternoon! A while ago I made this card but didn't share it here on my blog. Since I have been unwell and haven't been creating (sadly) I thought I would share it with you today. I first took a panel of white CS and stamped the polka dotted background from CBS Building Blocks in MFT Sno Cone ink (it is almost impossible to see this in the photo as the ink is so light). On top I stamped the leaf image from the CBS Leafy Accents set in MFT Blu Raspberry ink.

I then stamped and die cut a butterfly from the CBS Butterfly Wishes Additions set using MFT Grapesicle ink. The sentiment, from my favourite CBS A Little Sentimental set, has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and I have finished off with some rhinestones and then mounted to the card base with foam tape.

Thank you so much for visiting me today. Hope you are all doing well and having a lovely weekend so far (although it is raining here!). I will be back in the next couple of days with my monthly haul and then next week starts the new Clearly Besotted Teasers, so I hope you will join me for those :)

Handmade Card Storage

Hello there, today I have a quick video to share on how I am storing my handmade cards. Those cards that you have made, not necessarily for an occasion/person in mind. My storage isn't very interesting, it is very simple but I hope it might be of use to someone!

As you can see I have them in a clear plastic box, I have the cards in sections separated by occasion and I keep them in clear poly bags with the envelope. This means that they are ready to go when I want to send them out.

Thanks so much for visiting me today, again I apologise for the lack of posts (and videos), I am still not feeling that great :( Hopefully I will get back on track soon, thanks so much for your support :)

Birthday Wishes

Hello there and happy summer! Today I have another card to share using some Simon Says Stamp Exclusives. I have CASE'd one of my previous cards which you can see here. I liked having the panel of vellum cut out from the card base but this time I decided to make it as a layer.

I first took a piece of Bazzill Vellum and cut it using the SSS Hexagon Border die and added two panels of cardstock either side of it to make a panel to go on to the card base. This was added to the card base with foam tape. I took the SSS Happy Birthday Die and cut just the 'birthday' part from SSS Lavender CS twice and layered them together. I stamped the 'wishes' sentiment from the SSS Christmas stamp set in black ink and added the 'birthday' above it.

I have then finished off by adding clear Wink of Stella on the 'birthday' and scattered some Hero Arts Smooth Gems around the sentiment. A very CAS card but I love the white on white with the vellum and the added pop of lavender.

Thanks so much for visiting me today. The sun is shining here in London. I have to say, I know I shouldn't complain but I don't do heat very well. I love to see the sun but could do with a nice swimming pool in my back garden to keep me cool! That would be nice! :) Have a lovely day!

Welcome Little One

I have some wonderful news to share with you today, my new nephew arrived on Saturday! Both him and my SIL are doing well and he is oh so cute! They have named him Ben :) Here is the card I made for them. I saw this amazing card by the super talented Nichol Magouirk and knew I had to CASE it.

I first took a piece of Bazzill Icy Mint CS to make it into the card base. I then made some clouds using the ME Landscape Border die from white CS, these were added to a panel of vellum which was cut using the ME Femme Frames rectangle die. I added one to the back and one to the front. I have then stamped and heat embossed the PTI sentiment to the vellum layer.

The monkey and umbrella images from the ME Up & Away set have been stamped and then coloured with Copics. I used the co-ordinating dies and cut them out. They have been added to the panel with foam tape. I have then adhered the panel to the card base and added a few accents cut from the ME Confetti die.

Welcome Baby

Hello there, today I am sharing a card I made for the lovely Beth who had a little baby girl at the end of last month.

I have used the A Little Lovin' set from paper Smooches and stamped the elephants image on to a panel of white CS which has been cut using the rectangle die from the ME Femme Frames set. The elephants have been coloured with Copic Markers and I added clear WOS to the baby elephant. The sentiment (from the same set) has been stamped below and the panel added to a white card base with foam tape.
