VIDEO | Card Making Haul - August 2014

Hello there, I am back today to share my card making haul with you for the month of August. Hasn't August just flown by? or is that just me? It will be Christmas before we know it! ;) Anyway, I bought a TON of sequins this month. Hope you enjoy seeing what I got:

Thanks so much for visiting me today. I hope you are having a great weekend so far!

VIDEO | Watercolour Butterfly

Hello there, I am back with my last card for the month as Guest Designer for Craft Mojo.  I wanted to have a play with the new WPlus9 Flora & Fauna 2 stamp set today. All of the images in the set are stunning but I adore butterflies so I went with the largest one for my card. I stamped it out using TH Antique Linen Distress Ink on to watercolour cardstock and then coloured it using watercolour paints.

After it had dried I made a mask and placed this over the top. I then added a few splatters using Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Blush (I struggled with not having control but I wanted to make the card quite delicate and pretty and wanted to go with it!). I then die cut the sentiment using the WPlus9 Hand Lettered Thanks die, I added a layer of Clear Wink of Stella and then popped it on the panel. The panel has then been added to a white card base using my ATG.
Here is the video showing how I made it:

COFESSION TIME: The photos that you see here are not the same card that I made in the video. When I went to add the photos to my post I didn't like them but I had already posted the card to the recipient. I had to re make the card and the photos you see now is the new card!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sally and the whole DT at Craft Mojo for having me with them this month. Thanks so much for visiting me and I hope you have a great weekend! :)

Hello Friend

Hello there, usually when I sit down and create I have some sort of an idea in my head. I either know what stamps I want to use, or a colour combo, or layout. Well, for this card I literally just sat down and had a play with no pre-made idea in my head. It was actually really nice to do! I can also enter it into this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where the theme is Anything Goes! :)

I took a panel of white cardstock and stamped the solid images from the SSS Scribble Flowers set with some chalk ink (I have recently re-discovered my love for this!). I then stamped the outlines with a dark black ink over the top.

The sentiment, from the SSS Friendship Messages set, has been stamped in the bottom left and then I added a liberal amount of Wink of Stella to the solid parts of the flowers and leaves. The panel has been popped up on to a SSS Fog card base.

Thanks so much for visiting me today. I am a little late with my Guest Design post for Craft Mojo as I am waiting for a few goodies that I want to use for the card, sorry about that. In the mean time though, please pop over to the shop as they have a great 20% off offer for their 1st Birthday! :)

Hogs 'N Kisses

Hello there, if you do not already know, I LOVE pigs! I adore them! With their cute little curly tails? Oh how cute! So when I saw this Birthday Farm Animals set from Simon Says Stamp I knew I had to buy it. I knew the first image I would use was this cute birthday pig. I have simply stamped him out on to a panel of white cardstock. I have then coloured him using Copic Markers.

I stamped the sentiment (from the same set) next to him and then added Wink Of Stella to the balloon and hat followed by a liberal amount of Glossy Accents to the balloon. I love the shine. While the Glossy Accents was drying, I took a white card base and added a piece of paper from the Doodlebug Hip Hip Hooray collection on to it. The panel has then been added on top with foam tape.

COPIC MARKERS: PIG - R0000, R000, R01, R30, R32, R35. HAT - Y11, Y13,. BALLOON - B000, B01, B02. GROUND- W1, W2, W5.
Thank you so much for visiting me today, I really do appreciate it. Have a great day (despite the rain here in the UK!).

VIDEO | Raskog Cart Organisation

Hello there, today I thought I would share with you how I am using and organising my Raskog cart from Ikea. If you like watching videos without reading then please see below for the video. If you like reading, then please carry on :)

I just adore this cart! I got it in turquoise as I love the colour and I thought it would work well in my room with the blue shades. Although fairly small in size, (being 78cm in height, 45cm in width and 35cm in depth) it can hold a lot of products. I do not have mine stuffed full and I could fit a lot more in it if I wanted to.

The top shelf (I am calling them shelves as unsure what else to call them really!) I use mainly as an extra workspace/desk type thing. I hold items on there that I need to grab frequently. I have my swatch book, larger rolls of foam tape (as these cannot fit in any of my drawers), masking/painters tape, kitchen paper, Epicurean board, stamp presses and glitter/gel pens.
The middle shelf holds my 6x6" paper pads (as well as two 8x8"). I have the 6x6" in Interdesign Linus Binz and they are just great. They keep the pads contained but you can still flick through them really easily. I have scraps of paper in clear bags (the same ones I use for my cards when they are made) and I pop the bag inside of the paper pad's front cover.
On the bottom shelf, I have my cutting supplies. I have my Cuttlebug, a basket that contains cutting mats for the Cuttlebug, as well as a few larger embossing folders. I then have a purple folder with my QuicKutz dies (that I haven't used in years!).
Here is the video:

I don't really move it that much but I love that I can if I want to. I also love that I can grab things off of it really easily and put them back. It has freed up a shelf on my shelving unit for more stamps (yay!) which has given me more space overall in my room. Can you tell how much I love it? yep I do! ;) As always, thanks so much for visiting me today. I really do appreciate it.
