Garden Fresh & Hoppy Easter - CBS Teasers

Hello there and welcome to day two of Clearly Besotted Teasers. All the new products will be available in the shop at 10pm on Wednesday.

My first card today uses the new Garden Fresh stamp set. This set has so many possibilities but I went with a slightly rustic look to my card to make a punny valentine. The garden vegetables have been stamped on to a base layer of Tim Holtz Watercolour Paper using Distress Inks. I have then gone over them with a water brush for a watercolour look. The ground has been made by adding a bit of the Distress ink pad onto an acrylic block and picking it up with the waterbrush. I also added a little of SU Baked Brown Sugar.  The sentiment (also from Garden Fresh) has been stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and then I have made a couple of notches at the sides and wrapped some button twine around (from The Ribbon Girl) and tied in a bow. The panel has been added to a Kraft card base with 3D foam. EDA: Debby made a similar card to this yesterday, similar an in the layout of the vegetables. I made the radish into a turnip though! We never see each other's cards beforehand so I had to smile when I saw hers. I think hers is stunning and I wish mine had turned out more like hers! :0)

My second card uses the new Hoppy Easter stamp set and matching dies. I have first run a sheet of CS through my Cuttlebug using the PTI Guide Lines Grid Embossing Plate and added this directly to the front of a card base. I have then stamped and die cut the eggs from the set and added these along the bottom of the embossed piece. The cute bunny has been stamped, coloured lightly with Copic Markers and die cut. He/she has been placed between the eggs. The sentiment is from the already released Spring Blooms set. The eggs and the bunny has been liberally brushed with clear Wink of Stella.

  4. Great minds and all that Michelle! I love the colours you used for the veggies. And I think it is definitely a turnip not a radish - unless people grow monster sized radishes that is LOL. Love the Easter bunny too - so cute!
