Let's Get Inky ... LIM

This week's Less Is More challenge is to make a one layer card using ink. Now I know my entry isn't exactly original but inky isn't quite me. I can stamp with inks ... yes I can do that but ink techniques ... sadly not. I do have a few Distress Inks (un-used) so I decided to try and use one of those for a change. I have made a mask using a Nestabilities circle die and put this on a white card blank covering up the corners with post-it notes. I have then inked inside the mask using Tim Holtz Broken China Distess Ink using an Inkessentials Blending Tool. I have then stamped the butterflies and greeting - from the PTI Butterfly Dreams set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink - my all time favourite ink! I have then added a little bling to the butterflies bodies.

STAMPS: Papertrey Ink. INK: Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Memento Tuxedo Black. CS: Craftwork Cards. TOOLS: Nestabilities, Inkessentials Blending Tool. EMBELLISHMENTS: Papermania Adhesive Gems.

I am actually sending this card to a lovely crafty friend and hope she doesn't mind me adding it to my blog before I post it this afternoon! Thanks for visiting me today. I am off now to see the other entries, I don't look until I have submitted. Have a great day!

  2. This is lovely Michelle, I love the fact that your butterflies extend beyond the edge of the circle, it softens the look of the whole composition.
    Super!
    Thanks so much

  5. Lovely card, simple concept. I'm thinking of Christmas cards now, with a masked circle and a silhouette angel. hmm.
