Elzybells Challenge 21 - Recycling

This fortnight the challenge over at Elzybells has been set by the fab Kim and it is recycling. We have been told we can interpret as we wish! I have stamped the gorgeous 'Teddy Flowers' out onto the new Elzybells smooth white CS and coloured with Koh-I-Noor pencils {also available at Elzybells} and Sansodor. Cut out and added to base with 3d foam. The base is strips of paper from the Basic Grey 'Urban Prairie' pad that were in my scrap box {see recycling!!} added to a white card blank, flowers are from the lovely Vicki added with gem stones and the buttons were from an old piece of clothing {more recyling!} message stamped {from the 'Little Hello' set} in the corner. It's True What They Say ... (Part Two Updated)

... Crafters really are the loveliest of people! Today I got to open another two beautiful parcels, one from Vicki and one from Katherine. UPDATED: I have also received this lovely parcel from Sarah today as well - thank you so much ladies I have truely been touched by everyone's kindness and you have made my birthday very special :0)

Dies to Die for Sketch Competition

Over at Dies to Die for Tracy is holding a competition to win a set of the amazing The Greeting Farm Rain Snow & Shine stamps. It is open worldwide and all you have to do is make a card following a fab sketch by Dawny P. Please see the blog for the sketch and more details. Here is my card, I have changed the sketch slightly but I hope you like it! I have used Shine from the above set and coloured her with Copics, cut out and mounted to ovals cut using Nestabilities dies, this has then been added to the base with 3d foam. The base is simply SU! Tempting Turquoise CS added to a white card blank with a sheet from the Rainbow Sherbet collection added on top. I have then cut a an oval from Green Galore CS using a QuicKutz Cookie Cutter Nesting Oval, stamped the Elzybells greeting on top and gem stones added to finish.

It's True What they Say ... (Updated)

Crafters really are the nicest people :0) I woke up today and got to open the BIGGEST pile of cards and parcels ever and it made me feel so special thank you. Thank you to all the wonderful people who have sent me Birthday messages, cards and presents you have really made my day, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, I am touched by your kindness and generosity. Here, in no particular order, is what I opened today ...


I will be contacting you all personally as soon as possible. I have had a nasty case of tonsilitis the past week, thankfully I can actually swallow today without being in absolute agony so I am hoping I am on the mend now!

Birthday Blog Candy

DIY Ted

Today is the Elzybells release date - woohoo! For my last sneak peek I have used a few different stamps combined together for a Father's Day card for my Dad. I have stamped the 'Man's World Multi' stamp out with VersaMagic ink onto a peice of blue CS, mounted this up with darker blue CS and added to base card blank with DST. I have then stamped the 'DIY Ted' and coloured him in with Copics and cut out, added to the card with 3d foam pads. For the 'DAD' I have stamped the letters from the new fab 'Bold Alpha' clear set using black ink onto blue CS and cut out using the smallest Nestie square die.

For the inside of the card I have added layers of the blue CS and then stamped the 'Dad's tools' message onto white CS and cut out using a rectangle Nestie. 2 punched squares added to the bottom corner to finish.

Party Teds

For my third day of sneak peeks I am showing you this gorgeous stamp called 'Party Teds' which will be available to purchase from Elzybells tomorrow - woohoo! I have stamped the teds out and coloured with Copics, they come as one stamp but I have cut them out seperately, and added to a white rectangle with 3d foam pads. This has then been added to the base with DST. The base is two shades of purple {well you didn't think I could do a release withOUT a purple card did you?!} Bazzill Dotted Swiss added to a white card blank. The 'Wishes come true' message stamped and then cut out using a Nestabilities die from the Label Trio set, added with 3d foam.

For the inside I have simply added a strip of the Bazzill Dotted Swiss CS along the side and then stamped the already released sentiment from the 'Wishes/Birthday/Thanks' set then I have cut this out with a Nestabilities Label 4 die and added on top.

Football Ted

For my second day of Elzybells sneak peeks I am using these great new football stamps - I think these will be so useful for so many people. I have stamped the 'Footy Ted' out and coloured him with Copics, cut out and mounted to blue CS and added to base with DST. The base is simply blue DB CS layered up with white Bazzill Dotted Swiss CS {loving this at the mo!} and added to a white card blank. The 'More football' message stamped and again mounted and added to base with 3d foam pads. Dew Drops added to the corner to finish.

For the inside I have stamped the 'Football' stamp ou three times on to card and cute out, added a strip of blue CS down the edge and added the footballs on top.

Full of Surprises


Welcome to the start of four days of Elzybells sneak peeks! Elizabeth has outdone herself on the cuteness factor on these stamps and I am sure you will love them as much as I do. The release date is Thursday 21st May and the DT members will be doing sneak peeks from now til {and including} then!

For my first sneak I am showing you my favouritre from the week. The gorgeous 'Teddy Surprise' clear set and I am in love!! I have first stamped the teddy peaking from the present and coloured with Copics adding glitter highlights with my Spica pen, cut out with a square Nestie and added to base with 3d foam. The base is simply pink Bazzill Dotted Swiss CS added to a white card blank, a darker shade of pink punched with the Fiskars Threading Water punch and ribbon wrapped around. Message stamped in the bottom corner.



For the inside I have stamped the other teddy out and again coloured with Copics adding glitter with my Spica pen also. Message stamped at the top and then mounted to pink CS and added into the card. I think this set is just so cute and so versatile too, you can use the images togther or seperate - just so clever :0)

Elzybells Challenge 20 - Folds

The challenge over at Elzybells this fortnight has been set by the fab Steph and it it is to make a card with more than one fold. The base cardstock is Stampin' Up! Bashful Blue and the papers are all from the Basic Grey Wisteria paper pack. The 'Birthday, special as you are' message has been stamped and cut out using a Nestabilities Curved Rectangle die and before taking the die off I have gone round it with green chalk. Ribbon wrapped around the top panel and the beautiful dragonfly from Vicki {thank you!} tied on. Flowers have been punched from the same papers and added with gem stones to keep the top fold closed. Inside I have stamped the 'Daisy stem' with VersaMagic ink on to the panel you would write your message onto.
