Happy First Anniversary

This card is made for my brother and sister in law to celebrate their first Wedding Anniversary. The layout is based on Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge # 1 (without the flowers). The mice are stamped then coloured using watercolour pencils and mounted to pink card. The square under it is Doodlebug paper, again mounted to pink card. The background panel is embossed using Sizzix Texturz Retro Hearts. Greeting is printed from PC ('Fontdinnerdotcom Loungy' font used) and mounted with brads and 3D foam. All corners rounded using EK Success corner rounder punch. The colours I have used are the colours of their wedding.

Kitty's Blog Candy Challenge

Kitty is doing a Blog candy challenge this week. The challenge is to make a card using the following elements: a stamp/s, patterned paper/s, flowers/blooms and jewels and then you could be in chance of winning her lovely blog candy.

This my creation. I have stamped the gorgeous Eat Cake Graphics stamp (from First Class Crafts) with Stazon ink and then coloured using Whsipers brush markers with a waterbrush and added ultra fine glitter to the hats and snow. This was then mounted onto card then 3D foamed. The panel behind is designer paper from Partners mounted onto purple card. Message printed from PC (Angelina font used) and mounted to more purple card. Papermania Jewels added to the panel. Gorgeous purple poinsettia added to the corner with a brad.

'Best Wishes' has been printed from PC (Angelina font used). Prima flowers with brads added to the message panel.

My Craft Room

I thought I would share some photo's of my craft room with you. I love looking at other people's craft rooms, it gives me lots of ideas about how to organise mine. I am forever re-arranging my room but this is what it looks like at the moment! Please feel free to leave any comments below or ask any questions!

This is my main desk that I craft on. As you can see it is big enough to have my tools and bits at the back but still have enough room at the front to actually create! I have my Cuttlebug and Sizzix Sidekick on there plus all the tools I need regularly. The little blue drawer unit was a present from my Aunt when I first starting crafting, it hold my tools at the top and the drawers hold embellishments. Directly to the right is my QuicKutz folder then my purple drawers from Next. These hold my adhesives, embellishments, card blanks rub-ons and tools. On top of that is my silver tin which holds all my peel offs in dividers. Below my desk are more drawers which you can see below.

Above the desk is my Prima Flowers shelf, I am addicted to these beauties but have said to myself that I cannot buy any more as there is no room on my shelf for them! Here is also a close up of one of the drawers from the purple cabinet. As you can see this is my embellishment drawer which has all sorts of goodies in it!

These are the drawers that are below my desk. The bottom two hold more card blanks, the ones in the middle hold my punches and the top one holds my large Sizzix and QuicKutz dies.

This is my computer desk. The CD rack holds my See D's stamps as well as my computer CDs. the white small tin on the right holds my Cuttlebug dies. Directly to the left of the desk is my white cabinet where I hold my rubber stamps.

This is a close up of my stamp cabinet that i got from Ikea. I have drawers for different manufacters, except for my clear and unmounted stamps which have their own drawer. I also keep my acrylic blocks in the bottom drawer. The purple box on the top holds paper pads.

This is the other side of the room. The filing cabinet holds my A4 card and papers inclusing mulberry, metallic, handmade etc. the cabinet also holds other documents, it is not ALL filed with card (I wish!). On top of the cabinet is my 12x12" stackable trays. They hold all my precious Bazzill and Doodlebug card stock by colour. The bottom two trays are for patterned paper and the top is paper pads. To the right is my Sizzlits dies. The shelving unit holds mainly by books for university but one holds my craft magazines and the boxes that hold my ink pads. On top of the shelving unit is my ribbon box (which you can see a close up of below) and my Whispers marker pens. The two small tins contain chipboard shapes/letters/numbers and the big one on the right is for all my off-cuts and scraps of card/paper.

And last but not least is a close up of my ribbon box. It is by Cropper Hopper and is one of the best things I have ever bought. Since this picture has been taken I have filled it up to the brim and I am currently looking to buy another one!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my craft room and I would love to see any pictures of your craft room, please leave a coment with a link to your pictures!

Pretty in Pink

This card was made to accompany a RAK that I sent to Ruth. She kindly sent me one last week and I wanted to send one back! I was a bit unsure of the card as it is so simple but she has told me that she likes it so I am very happy! :0) The butterfly has been stamped with Versamark and then chalked, punched out and then attached with organza ribbon.

Flowahbella

I have been desperate to ink up my Bellas since they came last week but have been waiting to get some EZ Mount to use with them (currently out of stock). I had to give in yesterday and use one of them! It did slide around a bit on the block using glue stick but the impression was still good. This card is made using Flowahbella coloured with watercolour pencils. the layout is taken from a gorgeous card made by Stamping Caz, who also kindly helped me in the ordering of these lovlies!

Many Many Thanks

I have lots and lots of thank you's to give in this post. First of all, it is my 1 month anniversary of my Blog today and I want to thank everyone who has visited. I have had over 550 hits so far which is great! :0) I'm so glad that someone is visiting!!

I also have a big thank you to say to Kitty at First Class Crafts. She has recently revamped her website and during the closure she was kind enough to reserve me a couple of Missy B Designs stamp sets. She has also put a link to my Blog on her Blog which is so cool! The card below is made from one of the gorgeous sets I bought from her. She is still uploading lots of goodies to the website but check it out soon as she has great customer service plus lots of lovely goodies!

Another thank you goes to Ruth who sent me a lovely RAK last week. She sent me a gorgeous card and matching envelope to accompany a lovely Studio G stamp set :0) Of course she told me the details of where she had bought it from so I bought a few of the other little sets too! One of which is used in the card below.

Last but not least is a thank you to my brother. He came round at the weekend and spent ages putting up my mum's new shed. My mum and myself did help but he did the majority of it. Below is a little card I have made for him to say thank you.

Do Crafts Challenge (01/09/07)

This card is made for a round of challenges that are going on over on the Do Crafts Card Making Forum. The challenge was to make a card using embossing, so this is my creation! I embossed 3/4 of the card using my Cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder. I stamped Penny Black 'Snowy' and then coloured using watercolour pencils. Mounted onto blue Making Memories paper and 3D foamed to card. This is the first card I have made using my snowflakes folder or Snowy and I love them both!!

Do Crafts Challenge (31/08/07)

Another card made for the challenges going on over on the Do Crafts Card Making Forum. The challenge was to make a card using vellum, acetate or shrink plastic for the main embellishment/focus. I stamped 'Delicate Roses' on to vellum and coloured using H2Os, sadly the beautiful sheen of them does not show up that well in the photo, this was then mounted onto pink card. The sentiment is one of my new Stamping Bella sentiments also stamped onto vellum.
